Typical Components in a Double Chain Link Gate Kit
A full kit will generally include:

| Gate Frames (2 leaves) | Steel or galvanized tube frames sized to match fence height and desired width of each leaf. |
| Hinges | Heavy-duty hinges for swing action; usually mounted on gate posts. |
| Latch / Drop Rod | A latch that secures the two leaves together when closed, plus drop rods (or keeper pins) that lock leaves to ground (for stability / security). |
| Gate Posts | Posts to mount the leaves, including hinge posts and latch post; must be anchored (e.g. in concrete). |
| Connectors / Fittings | Tension bands, tension bars, brackets, bolts, etc., needed to connect chain link fabric to frame, to assemble leaves, etc. |
| Chain Link Mesh (sometimes included) | The fabric that fills the gate leaves; in many kits you supply your own to match the rest of the fence. |
| Hardware | Nuts, bolts, hinge pins, drop rod guides, etc. Galvanized finish is typical to resist rust. |
